    "description": "Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service have an ongoing requirement for the supply, delivery, collection and disposal of depolluted end of life vehicles. These vehicles are used by our Firefighters for training purposes across the geographical area of Devon and Somerset.\nThe vehicles supplied are required to simulate a roadworthy condition. Due to the nature of the training and equipment used by our Firefighters, the vehicles will be subject to disassembly, with roofs, windscreens, glass and doors removed.\nCurrent arrangements expire on 31st March 2026. This notice is to invite suppliers to bid for the new contracts commencing on 1st April 2026.\nThe lot structure and indicative annual volumes per lot, is as follows:\n\u2022 Lot 1 - Barnstaple Area - 40 vehicles\n\u2022 Lot 2 - Exeter Area - 100 vehicles\n\u2022 Lot 3 - Plymouth Area - 45 vehicles\n\u2022 Lot 4 - Taunton Area - 65 vehicles\n\u2022 Lot 5 - Torquay Area - 45 vehicles\n\u2022 Lot 6 - Yeovil Area - 50 vehicles\nSuppliers are able to bid for one or more lots. \nThe contracts will have an initial period of two years, with the option to extend by a further 12 months (three year maximum term).",
