Rock Structures and Offshore Defences Installation of coastal rock structures, which may include: A terminal rock groyne One or more offshore rock breakwaters or alternative submerged features These features will be designed to dissipate wave energy, mitigate ongoing erosion, manage littoral drift, and improve overall beach stability at the eastern extent of the frontage. 3. Terrestrial Defence Enhancements Enhancements to existing shoreline defences and infrastructure, which may include: Replacing, or future‑proofing the existing splash wall Upgrading flood gates Improving access infrastructure Modifying and integrating existing river training wall elements 4. River Sid Interface Improvements Localised improvements to the River Sid flood wall and associated structures to ensure continuity with the coastal defence scheme and to enhance flood resilience at the fluvial–coastal interface.
