The ground investigation is required to assess the structural and geotechnical conditions of the existing reservoir embankment dams and spillways in order to aid the risk assessments of the dams and to provide up-to-date information. It is envisioned that the information collected during the ground investigation will support the design of remediation measures if necessary.
