    "procurementMethodRationale": "The NHSE PET contract has PETNET as the primary supplier for PET FDG doses. The\ndepartment does not run separate lists for PP and NHS patients, therefore a\nseparate supply contract for PP patients would require staff to be swapping vials\neach time the patient category changed. This is a risk to safety for two reasons:\n1. Patient Safety \u2013 changing vials between patients could potentially lead to\nthe patients being injected with the incorrect vial.\n2. Staff safety \u2013 due to the limitations of the space, staff would need to swap\nvials between patients which would increase their exposure to radiation as\nthere is not space to load two supplier vials simultaneously. Furthermore,\nthe workspace is not sufficient to house the additional packaging which\nwould result from having multiple suppliers and would be a trip hazard in an\nalready difficult working environment. The cost to expand the department would be significant and therefore would not be of Financial benefit to the Trust.",
