    "description": "***** THIS IS AN AWARD NOTICE, NOT A CALL FOR COMPETITION *****\r\n\r\nThis procurement is being concluded following a mini competition under the CCS RM6188 - Audit \u0026 Assurance Services.\r\n\r\nBrief Description of Requirement\r\n\r\nThe requirement is to provide audit support for grants let under the Open Networks Ecosystem Programme. The programme represented a \u00a380.8M investment by the UK Government to tackle key barriers to adoption of open mobile networks. \r\n\r\nA large proportion of this investment was made up of Government Grants for innovation, with partners claiming at appropriate intensities based on grants for experimental development.\r\n\r\nThe purpose of this contract is for DSIT to undertake checks on a sample of in-life and closing projects to assure the Department that grant monies was used appropriately and that all records/claims were accurate. Of the 20 Open Network Ecosystem awards, a number will be extended past March 2025. It has yet to be confirmed which of these programmes will be extended therefore it is probable that audits will be carried out on both live and closing programmes.",
