    "description": "This award if for the Medication Administration Support Service.\nMedicines support is any support that enables a person to manage their medicines. This covers prompting or reminding people to take their medicines; helping people remove medicines from packaging; and administering some or all of a person\u0027s medicines. \nThe provider will: \n\u2022\tAssess what medicines support a person needs as part of their general assessment and record the outcome of the assessment in the care plan. \n\u2022\tWhere a person needs support with their medicines, the provider will record the following details in their care plan: \no\tthe person\u0027s needs and preferences \no\tthe person\u0027s expectations for confidentiality and advance care planning \no\thow you will seek consent \no\tdetails of who to contact about their medicines - this can be the person needing support or a contact they choose \no\twhat support they need for each medicine \no\thow the medicines support will be given \no\twho provides medicines support, particularly when more than one care provider is involved \no\twhen the medicines support will be reviewed - e.g. after six weeks. \no\tStaff who assess people\u0027s medicines support need to be trained and competent to do so \no\tonly take responsibility for people\u0027s medicines where the assessment indicates there is a need. \nServices will usually be delivered in patients own homes, these will be located within all areas of Milton Keynes, including villages.",
