    "description": "North Tyneside Council (the Authority) are seeking the establishment of a framework agreement for supply, installation, and completion of level access showers and associated bathroom adaptations within occupied residential properties on behalf of the Authority. The works are to be carried out with minimal disruption to residents, in compliance with all relevant building regulations, statutory requirements, and the Authority\u0027s housing adaptation standards.\nThe Authority funds and manages the provision of a range of adaptations for customers following an assessment of need carried out by an Occupational Therapist. Referrals are forwarded to the Adaptations \u0026 Loan Equipment Service (ALES) which is based at Killingworth Depot, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE12 6QQ. ALES administer and manage the provision in accordance with the Authority\u0027s Disabled Facilities Grant (DFG) Home Adaptation and Relocation Assistance Policy.\nIt should be noted that the works required will cover both DFG funded works and works in tenanted properties within the Authority\u0027s Housing stock where such work is funded by the Authority\u0027s housing spend.",
