The Contractor and any sub-contractor(s) are required to adhere to current transport legislation and comply with current environmental legislation, with regards to tyre disposal methods.\nThe Council operates a fleet of approximately 300 Council owned and 450 hire vehicles (in addition to short term hire) ranging from;\n\u2022 Car derived vans and light commercial vehicles (under 3.5 tonne)\n\u2022 Vehicles over 3.5 tonne including specialist vehicles\n\u2022 Refuse collection vehicles (up to 26 tonne)\n\u2022 Plant vehicles (ranging from ride on mowers to agricultural tractors).\nThe Councils requirement will cover a managed service at the Councils depot(s) in addition to a roadside service.",
