    "description": "This notice notes the  award of contract to Camden Carers Centre for the provision of the Carers\u2019 Support Service who currently deliver the service. The Carers\u2019 Support Service addresses the statutory duties the Care Act 2014 places on Local Authorities to identify unpaid Carers, assess their needs and prevent, reduce and delay future need for support.\nThe new contract is for an initial period of four (4) years until 31st March 2029, with the option to extend for an additional three (3) years until 31st March 2032, for a total value of \u00a33,474,126 (\u00a36,314,419 including extension).\nCamden Carers submitted a tender with strengths which include understanding local needs, co-designing the service with local groups and working with young carers as they transition into adulthood. Their tender also demonstrated innovation, for example, they will work with medical students at University College London to ensure future doctors will have a great understanding of the role of carers.",
