Lot Description: Replacement Boiler Plant and Distribution Works - Kirk Sandall Junior School Thank you for expressing an interest in submitting a tender proposal for the Replacement Boiler Plant and Distribution Works at Kirk Sandall Junior School. On request you will receive: • Electrical Documentation: o General Electrical Specification o Boiler House Specification o Phase 1 - proposed electrical works - Reception o Phase 2 - BMS alterations and Boiler house input o Phase 3 - School electrical existing and proposed • Mechanical Documentation o General Mechanical Specification o Part 4 Mechanical Specification o Drawings for existing plant room, building and roof o Phase 1 - Proposed mechanical services layout o Phase 2 - Plant room proposed mechanical services layout and schematic o Phase 3 - Building proposed heating services layout o Phase 3 - Roof proposed mechanical services layout • Tender Summary Timeline : SUBMISSION Visits to site From 12th May 2025 to 23rd May 2025 Requests outside this window will be considered. Closing Date for submission of proposals Wednesday 25th June 2025 - 12 noon Contract Award Date Thursday 10th July 2025 ______________________________________________________ Commencement of works: Phase 2 - Boiler Plant Monday 1st September 2025 (Variations to this date can be discussed however the completion date below is essential) Completion of works: Thursday 30th October 2025 All heating and water systems should be tested, operational and functioning with the existing heating and water distribution systems in the school. Handover and onsite training: Thursday 30th October 2025 ______________________________________________________ Commencement of works: Phase 1 - Reception and Admin Area To be discussed at contract award stage as there is some flexibility with this phase. There is scope for this work to be carried out during normal school operating hours. Completion of works: Friday 31st October 2025 Unlike areas which impact directly on the delivery of education, there is scope for the Reception works to be carried out during term time however this must be completed by the end of the Autumn Term One. ______________________________________________________ Commencement of works: Phase 3 - Heating Distribution and internal works Monday 5th January 2026 Works during term time will be discussed and agreed with the Headteacher as there should be minimal impact on education delivery. Completion of works Friday 28th August 2026 All heating and water systems should be operational and remedial decoration works completed in readiness for the start of the 2026 academic year. All contractors MUST visit site prior to submitting their proposal. Site visits will take place between 12th May 2025 and 23rd May 2025 and should be arranged directly with the Trust Estates Manager: Mr Luke Cropper - cropper.l@brighterfutureslpt.com Completed tenders should be submitted by 12 noon on Wednesday Wednesday 25th June 2025 via email or post.
