NHS Frimley ICB ("the Commissioner") sought to commission provision to provide an Out of Hours Primary Care Service in Sandhurst, Berkshire. The service will be provided to individuals who are, or believe themselves to be, ill with a condition that requires urgent attention, such that their immediate care needs cannot safely be deferred until the end of the OOH period but not unstable enough to require treatment in the Emergency Department/Ambulance. An effective interface between the NHS111 services and the OOH service will be critical to the successful delivery of urgent care. Partnership working between these services will ensure all relevant performance and quality measures are successfully delivered. Seamless transfer of information, data (where necessary) and collaboration between the two services will be critical to delivering excellent clinical care and patient experience. Frimley ICB has followed PSR Direct Award C for the contract to which this notice relates.
