Description

Bradley Stoke Town Council is the parish authority for Bradley Stoke. It is the second tier of local government after the South Gloucestershire Council. Its legal powers are granted to it and regulated by various government acts. The town population is of approximately 20,000. The Town Council supplements the provision of local government services in Bradley Stoke, and provides a range of social and recreational facilities, while promoting and representing the town with other national and statutory bodies. Scope of Work - The contractor shall design, supply, install, test, and commission a complete solar photovoltaic (PV) system with integrated battery storage at the Jubilee Centre. System Requirements - 84 photovoltaic (PV) panels, Orientation: +60° from south Inclination: 30° from horizontal 1 no. Inverter 4 Batteries Capacity may not exceed 50kWp. Bird Proofing for the solar panels Standards and Compliance The contractor must ensure: • Compliance with MCS standards, SSEG Engineering Recommendation G98(2019) and G99. • Conformance with current Building Regulations. • Coordination with the local Distribution Network Operator (DNO) for grid connection. • Notification to Building Control under Part P of the Building Regulations. Ethical Purchasing Compliance Bradley Stoke Town Council requires that all suppliers and subcontractors comply with its Ethical Purchasing Guidelines, which emphasize: • Environmentally responsible sourcing. • Fair labour practices and compliance with modern slavery legislation. • Preference for suppliers with strong sustainability credentials. • Waste minimization during procurement and delivery. Suppliers shall submit a written statement confirming adherence to these guidelines as part of the contract award process. Site visits are encouraged and can be accommodated by the Activity centres Manager (Phil Francis-Barber) by contacting either by email or phone. Please note that if your company does not hold at least £2,000,000 in public liability we will not be able to proceed with your tender offer. • A copy of your company history and qualifications. • A copy of the proposed contract with an initial start date and project duration. • A copy of the management and operation plan, to include how many staff would be on site for the duration of the build. • A copy of your risk assessment for the duration of the works. • A copy of your companies work guarantee. • A copy of the proposed costs in an open and transparent manner.
