The training is to build the knowledge and skills needed to identify someone who may be thinking about suicide and to competently intervene by having a conversation with that person, helping them with a safety plan, and signposting to appropriate services. The service is designed to improve the skills and knowledge around suicide has been identified as one of the key mechanisms for making suicide prevention everybody\u0027s business. This has been identified first by the National Suicide Prevention Strategy and then by the local Hampshire Suicide Prevention Strategy 2023-2028.\u202f",
