General Description\n\u2022\tThe high-density stacking chair shall be designed for public and commercial environments such as conference rooms, event halls, and multi-use facilities. The chair must be ergonomic, durable, space-efficient, and easy to handle during setup and storage.\n\u2022\t400 chairs are required as well as the necessary equipment to move 300 of these chairs.\n2. Construction Requirements\n2.1 Frame\n\u2022\tMaterial: High-strength steel or aluminium tubing.\n\u2022\tFinish: Powder-coated or chrome-plated for corrosion resistance and aesthetic durability.\n\u2022\tWelding: All joints must be fully welded or securely fastened to ensure structural integrity.\n2.2 Seat and Backrest\n\u2022\tMaterial: A durable and wipeable material. Preference will be given to recycled and recyclable materials.\n\u2022\tErgonomics: Contoured for user comfort for long periods.\n\u2022\tColour Options: Range of standard colours required, with optional custom finishes\n3. Performance and Durability\n3.1 Durability\n\u2022\tMust comply with or exceed BS EN16139:2013 level 2: severe contract use\n3.2 Linking\n\u2022 The chairs should be able to be linked.\n3.3 Floor Protection\n\u2022\tNon-marking glides or caps on legs.\n\u2022\tOptional ganging clips for connecting multiple chairs securely.\n3.4 Stacking Capability\n\u2022\tMust stack a minimum of 20 chairs high on a dolly/cart.\n\u2022\tWithout dolly: minimum of 8-10 chairs high, stable and secure.\n\u2022\tChairs must not damage each other during stacking.\n4. Portability and Handling\n\u2022\tChairs must be easy to lift and move by one person.\n\u2022\tStack cart/dolly must be compatible and available as an accessory.\n5. Safety and Compliance\n\u2022\tCompliant with relevant fire and safety standards.\n\u2022\tNo sharp edges or pinch points.\n\u2022\tMaterials must be recyclable or meet sustainability criteria where possible.\n6. Warranty\n\u2022\tMinimum 3-year warranty covering materials and workmanship under normal public use.\n7. Other considerations\n\u2022\tThe Council will require to see a sample of the proposed chair option(s) to test their comfort.\n8. Date of supply\n\u2022\tThe chairs need to be supplied to site in the month of August, 2025.",
