    "description": "West Yorkshire Police (WYP) are tendering for the provision of Vehicle Recovery services.  This requirement is to recover vehicles and associated items across the Force area on a 24/7/365(6) basis which are:\n- stolen\n- abandoned\n- causing an obstruction/danger\n- burnt out\n- collision damaged\n- uninsured/unlicenced\n- DVLA untaxed\n- PACE vehicles for evidence where the vehicle/driver is suspected of being involved in crime\n- Police Vehicles.  \nWYP currently recover approximately 21,000 vehicles per annum across the West Yorkshire area.  The tender is being split into 8 x geographical areas as per the following Lots:\nLot 1 - Leeds North West\nLot 2 - Leeds North East\nLot 3 - Leeds South\nLot 4 - Wakefield / Pontefract\nLot 5 - Kirklees\nLot 6 - Calderdale\nLot 7 - Bradford South\nLot 8 - Bradford North  \nThe initial term of the contract will be for 4 years with an option to extend for a further 2-year period.\nThe estimated start date for the contract is the 1st December 2025 with an end date of the 30th November 2029.\nFull details of the contract requirements are detailed in the Tender Statement of Requirements document within the tender pack which is available through the Bluelight E-Tendering portal:  https://sell2.in-tend.co.uk/blpd/home",
