TENDER OFFER Hildenborough Parish Council PROVISION OF PATHWAY Introduction Hildenborough Parish Council is South East of Sevenoaks Town within the Borough of Tonbridge and Malling just off the A21 in Kent. The Parish Council are looking to improve access to local services for its residents and support local residents in their activities. The Parish Council has a number of areas of open space including the Village Green, Woodland, Play Areas and Pavillion and is now seeking to enhance the Recreation Field area by providing a pathway around the site allowing for wheelchair access, walkers and joggers. Parts of the site are subject to Annual Flooding, and it is highly likely that any pathway installed will spend several days each year submerged under water and so the council is seeking options which will be long lasting and stand the test of regular submersion. Requirement The council is seeking contractors who are able to provide such pathways and it is expected that each contractor will provide a detailed explanation of suitability of their proposed solution. To this end Councilors are seeking tenders from companies who will take into account the waterlogging issues and dovetail the pathway well with the existing pathways around the recreation ground. Details of estimated lifespan and of likely maintenance regime should also be provided and if selected the council will expect a full briefing on the requirements.
