    "description": "The Assisted Conception Service will provide:\n\u2022 Specialist Fertility Services to patients fulfilling the \neligibility criteria, including: \n\u2022 A full In Vitro Fertilisation (IVF) cycle*,\n\u2022 A full Intra-cytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI) cycle*\n\u2022 Intra Uterine Insemination (IUI) stimulated and \nunstimulated depending on circumstances\n\u2022 The storage of gametes (oocytes and sperm) including \nthose harvested prior to treatment for cancer or other \ntreatments which may make a patient permanently infertile\n\u2022 The storage of embryos\n\u2022 Use of donor gametes such as egg or sperm where \nappropriate. Donor oocyte (egg) treatment will be subject \nto different waiting time criteria due to the recognised \nshortage of donors\n\u2022 Diagnostic Semen Analysis Service\n* A full IVF / ICSI treatment cycle includes:\n\u2022 Appropriate diagnostic tests, scans and pharmacological \ntherapy\n\u2022 Counselling for couples\n\u2022 Stimulation of prospective mother\u0027s ovaries to produce \noocytes\n\u2022 Harvesting of the oocytes\n\u2022 Fertilisation using IVF or ICSI (assisted hatching is not \nprovided)\n\u2022 A fresh embryo transfer (maximum 2 embryos transferred)\n\u2022 Cryopreservation of all suitable remaining embryos in line \nwith commissioning polices\n\u2022 If unsuccessful, within twelve months of cryopreservation, \na frozen embryo transfer from remaining frozen embryos \n(maximum of 2 embryos transferred)\n\u2022 A follow up consultation / pregnancy scan with fertility \nservices post IVF treatment",
