    "description": "Weald of Kent Grammar School is a large sized selective grammar school, with academy status for girls aged 11\u201318 and co-educational sixth form for students aged 16\u201318. The school operates across two campuses located in Tonbridge and Sevenoaks, Kent and boasts state of the art facilities. \nThe tender project is seeking to appoint a Contractor whose initiative and innovation will be welcomed for the provision of service within the existing facilities for the approximate 600 students at our Sevenoaks campus and 1500 in Tonbridge, with 200 teaching and support staff who work across both.  \nThe contract being tendered is for three years in duration from August 2025 and will operate as a Guaranteed Performance Contract. \nThe school year is based on a calendar of 195 days. Five days are to be used for staff professional development which means that School will be open to receive students for the legal minimum of 190 days.\nThe contract offered covers the scope for the provision of all cleaning services within the school, which currently includes:\nSevenoaks Campus \n-3 Floor building which includes DT, Science, Food and general classrooms, dance studio, sports hall, main hall, dining hall and office space. \nApprox. Square Metres: 6507 \nTonbridge Campus \n-The school has six, multi-storey stand-alone buildings (named as Main Building, Maths, Humanities, New Science, Sports Hall and 6th Form Hub). These buildings house educational, dining, sport and office facilities. \nApprox. Square Metres: \n-Eng/Hums: 3149\n-Main Build: 5325\n-Maths: 1113\n-Sports Hall: 1837\n-New Science 720\n-New classrooms 224\nWhilst the School prioritises value for money as a key objective of the Competitive Tender Process, the Governing body is not obliged to accept the lowest price.\nThe value of the current contract:\nTonbridge Contract Cost: \u00a3156,588.41\nSevenoaks Contract Cost: \u00a358,745.83\nTotal Contract Value = \u00a3646,000.00\nWeald of Kent expects the successful contractor to enable the continued development of cleaning services.
