One of the schemes in development is to utilise an empty LPFT unit for step-down accommodation, namely Ashley House in Grantham that was previously an open rehabilitation inpatient unit. This unit has 15 beds available for use: Ground floor has n=2 accessible bedrooms with a shared wet room / toilet. The upper floor accessed by stairs has n=6 bedrooms with ensuites. The remaining bedrooms n=7 share toilet / shower facilities on their corridor. This service requires a Provider to deliver step-down provision for patients that are clinically ready for discharge.
