It is also required to keep Fleet Standardisation, interoperability and compatibility.\nSchedule 5, section 20 (a), (b) \u0026 (c) applies - MOD is a defence authority; the contract will be a defence and security contract by virtue of Part 1, Section 7 (1) (a), (b), (c) \u0026 (f); and, it is necessary for the contract to be awarded directly in order to enhance or maintain the operational capability, effectiveness, readiness for action of specific element of the armed forces.",
