This facility will serve as a critical operational hub for the IWM\u2019s fire response team, supporting rapid deployment, equipment storage, and personnel readiness in a heritage-sensitive and safety-critical environment.\nThe new building must be utility in style, prioritising functionality, durability, and low maintenance, while incorporating architectural features that complement the historic character of the surrounding site. The design must respect key planning constraints, including maintaining unobstructed visual lines from the Visual Control Room and ensuring the new structure does not exceed the height or footprint of the ATC Tower.\nInternally, the shed will accommodate three fire vehicles with appropriate spacing and emergency access features, alongside dedicated areas for equipment storage, breathing apparatus servicing, decontamination showers, changing facilities, and a watch room with CCTV integration.
