This contract will run from August 2025 to the end of August 2026.\nThe LEDS Programme is delivering the replacement for the Police National Computer (PNC), a Critical National Infrastructure (CNI) service that supports operational policing through real-time checks on individuals, vehicles, and other law enforcement data.\nThis direct award is justified under Schedule 5, Paragraph 7 of the Procurement Act 2023, as the services provided by the incumbent supplier form an extension to existing work. A change in supplier at this stage would result in incompatible services and disproportionate technical difficulties in operation and maintenance, impacting the continuity of the programme. It would also risk delays to critical delivery timelines, which are essential to ensuring the safe and timely transition of the legacy PNC system.",
