    "description": "Reactive Maintenance Measured Term Contract on behalf of Rhondda Cynon Taf CBC and Merthyr Tydfil CBC.\nA brief description of the nature of the Works is given below as an indication of the general character and scope of works envisaged. The description is not intended to set precise limits to the various classifications of works since the works, being essentially of a maintenance nature, will be varied.\n\u2022\tEmergency works within normal working hours and outside working hours to include restoration of essential service, unblocking drains, making safe, secure and weathertight.\n\u2022\tEmergency demolitions which may include non-council buildings\n\u2022\tMinor building works/alterations\n\u2022\tMinor demolition\n\u2022\tRoof repairs to both pitched and flat design\n\u2022\tCarpentry repairs including door/window replacement\n\u2022\tPlumbing work\n\u2022\tElectrical installation and repair works\n\u2022\tDrainage work including clearing blockages, surveys, repairs and replacement\n\u2022\tGlazing work to both single and double glazed windows including temporary boarding up where necessary\n\u2022\tRepairs to structures including temporary shoring, rebuilding and repointing\n\u2022\tInternal and External decorations\n\u2022\tWorks of adaptation including installation of external galvanised handrails, internal timber mopstick handrails, access ramps and bathroom alterations\n\u2022\tSmall building works\n\u2022\tWorks to comply with the Disability Discrimination Act\n\u2022\tWorks within public Highways\n\u2022\tScaffolding / towers\n\u2022\tMinor works with asbestos - note you are not expected to undertake any large scale, significant or asbestos specific works as part of this contract, only non-licensed works that are small/minor in nature where asbestos may be disturbed by virtue of items being fixed to, near to, require minor sealing or repair, decorative finishes or similar, where agreed with the appropriate Council. This work may entail NNLW.\n\u2022\tAny other work as instructed by the CA\nWork excluded:\n\u2022\tBoiler plant (installation, servicing and maintenance)\n\u2022\tGas services\n\u2022\tKitchen equipment (servicing \u0026 maintenance)\n\u2022\tFan convector heaters (servicing \u0026 maintenance)\n\u2022\tFire alarms (servicing \u0026 maintenance)\n\u2022\tEmergency lights ( servicing \u0026 maintenance)\n\u2022\tEmergency generators (routine maintenance)\n\u2022\tStage lighting (periodic testing)\n\u2022\tPottery kilns (servicing \u0026 maintenance)\n\u2022\tLifts and hoists(installation, servicing\u0026 maintenance)\n\u2022\tIntruder alarms (installation and maintenance)\n\u2022\tCCTV systems (installation and maintenance)\n\u2022\tSewage pumps (installation, servicing and maintenance)\n\u2022\tPortable appliance testing\n\u2022\tPeriodic inspection and testing of electrical installation in buildings\n\u2022\tSwimming pools (servicing \u0026 maintenance)\n\u2022\tAutomated doors, shutters \u0026 barriers (routine maintenance)\nAs this contract is to provide multi service responsive maintenance, the successful supplier must be able to provide all trades to deliver the contract.\nIt is a mandatory requirement that the successful supplier must be able to respond to call outs 24/7 and to attend site within 2 hrs (RCT) and 1 hr (Merthyr CBC) of receiving the call. Contractors who are unable to meet this requirement will be eliminated.",

      "awardCriteriaDetails": "The Council is procuring a standard Framework Agreement and will be structured to include the following Lots as set out in the table below.  Providers can tender for all lots. \nLot\tArea\tNumber awarded on Framework\n1\tRCT East\t1 Awarded, 2 Reserves\n2\tRCT West\t1 Awarded, 2 Reserves\n3\tMerthyr Tydfil\t1 Awarded, 2 Reserves\nA provider will not be awarded a position as main contractor on both lots 1 and 2. After, evaluation and should it be the case that a provider has scored highest points for both lots then the Council shall proceed with the following process:\n\u2022\tAward the lot that the contractor scores highest against, or\n\u2022\tAward the lot that the contractor has offered the most commercially advantageous terms for.\n\u2022\tIf the above cannot differentiate then the Council shall ask the contractor for their preference. \n\u2022\tAppoint the contractor as reserve to the non-awarded lot.\nFor the avoidance of doubt a contractor may be awarded a place as main contractor on Lot 3 and Lot 1 or 2"
