    "description": "Bradley Stoke Town Council is the parish authority for Bradley Stoke. It is the second tier of local government after the South Gloucestershire Council. Its legal powers are granted to it and regulated by various government acts. The town population is of approximately 20,000. The Town Council supplements the provision of local government services in Bradley Stoke, and provides a range of social and recreational facilities, while promoting and representing the town with other national and statutory bodies.\nScope of Work - The contractor shall design, supply, install, test, and commission a complete solar photovoltaic (PV) system with integrated battery storage at the Jubilee Centre.\nSystem Requirements - 84 photovoltaic (PV) panels,\nOrientation: +60\u00b0 from south\nInclination: 30\u00b0 from horizontal\n1 no. Inverter\n4 Batteries\nCapacity may not exceed 50kWp.\nBird Proofing for the solar panels\nStandards and Compliance\nThe contractor must ensure:\n\u2022 Compliance with MCS standards, SSEG Engineering Recommendation G98(2019) and G99.\n\u2022 Conformance with current Building Regulations.\n\u2022 Coordination with the local Distribution Network Operator (DNO) for grid connection.\n\u2022 Notification to Building Control under Part P of the Building Regulations.\nEthical Purchasing Compliance\nBradley Stoke Town Council requires that all suppliers and subcontractors comply with its Ethical Purchasing Guidelines, which emphasize:\n\u2022 Environmentally responsible sourcing.\n\u2022 Fair labour practices and compliance with modern slavery legislation.\n\u2022 Preference for suppliers with strong sustainability credentials.\n\u2022 Waste minimization during procurement and delivery.\nSuppliers shall submit a written statement confirming adherence to these guidelines as part of the contract award process.\nSite visits are encouraged and can be accommodated by the Activity centres Manager (Phil Francis-Barber) by contacting either by email or phone.\nEmail: philip.francis@bradleystoke.gov.uk\nPhone: 01454 205028\nPlease note that any invitation to tender issued by Bradley Stoke Town Council is covered under the terms of the Bribery Act 2010.
