    "description": "Weston-super-Mare Town Council (WSMTC) is seeking Expressions of Interest from suitably experienced and qualified organisations to undertake the operation and management of the caf\u00e9 at the Old Town Quarry. This is an exciting opportunity as the Quarry moves to a new phase of operation, opening summer 2025. The organisation will need to have proven and demonstrated experience in similar projects and the wide-ranging skill bases to achieve the various elements required to ensure the running of the caf\u00e9 (over 7 days a week) is successful and enhances the offer of site.\r\n\r\nOrganisations from whom WSMTC procure goods and services must demonstrate that all practicable steps are being taken to allow equal access and equal treatment in employment and service delivery, as appropriate to the nature of the contract. Following a decision made by WSMTC in July 2020, the Council is committed to working with organisations who pay the Real Living Wage to their employees.\r\n\r\nOrganisations from whom WSMTC procure goods and services must be able to demonstrate an excellent Health and Safety record, accordingly contractors that cannot demonstrate an excellent record, free from enforcement action, will not be considered. Contractors must also be able to demonstrate how they provide social value with the work being carried out, within parameters set out by WSMTC.\r\n\r\nWSMTC will evaluate the Expression of Interest submissions received, and shortlist qualifying organisations to invite tenders for the project. Registration of interest does not imply inclusion on the tender list. Tender documents will be issued Mid April, work is anticipated to start late Summer 2025.\r\n\r\nThe evaluation will be in accordance with the following criteria. An aggregate of 4 or more fails will automatically result in exclusion from the tender list.\r\n\r\n-Proven experience in type and scale of work within a similar setting\t\r\n-Proven experience in a catering sector organisation\tPass / Fail\r\n-Financial capability (adequately resourced to undertake the contract works)\r\n-Evidence of an excellent Health \u0026 Safety Record (no enforcement action under current legislation)\r\n-Confirmation that employees are paid Real Living Wage.\r\n-Confirmation that the organisation will be able to submit a tender and should they be successful, commence the contract late Summer 2025.\r\n\r\nInterested parties are asked to submit Expressions of Interest to include their:\r\n\u2022\tOrganisation name, status, address, contact name and if applicable registration number\r\n\u2022\tCompany bankers name and account number\r\n\u2022\tDetails of any enforcement action under Health \u0026 Safety Legislation\r\n\u2022\tBrief details of two recent (within last 36 months) similar projects undertaken by the company (Max 1000 words)\r\n\u2022\tConfirmation that the organisation will be able to submit a tender and should they be successful, commence the contract late Summer 2025.\r\n\r\nExpression of Interest should be sent no later than 12 noon on Friday 11th April 2025 FAO:\r\n\r\nEmail: development@wsm-tc.gov.uk",
