    "description": "Staffordshire County Council has\r\nrecommissioned the current Personalised Care and\r\nSupport in prisons (and in approved premises) in\r\nthe County of Staffordshire which is due to expire\r\n31/03/2025. The purpose of the Service is for\r\nsuitably qualified care providers to deliver Care and\r\nSupport to all Prisons and Approved Premises on a\r\nGuaranteed Hours basis. Spot Purchase hours will\r\nbe considered and agreed with the Council once\r\nthe Guaranteed Hours have been spent. The\r\nService will enable Service Users to achieve their\r\nidentified outcomes to improve their independence\r\nand achieve and maintain their desired strength\r\nbased, personalised outcomes in relation to their\r\nphysical, emotional, social, and mental wellbeing.\r\nThe Council aims to ensure improve Service Users\r\nremain as independent as possible; have the\r\nknowledge to make informed decisions; have\r\nchoice and be in control of decisions made about\r\ntheir Care; be part of their community; receive\r\nSupport at the right time through a strength based\r\nand personalised Service. The provider delivering\r\nthe Service, will aim to achieve the following\r\nobjectives: enhance the quality of life for Service\r\nUsers with Care and Support needs; delay and\r\nreduce the need for Care and Support; ensure\r\nService Users have a positive experience of Care;\r\nsafeguard Service Users whose circumstances\r\nmake them vulnerable and protect them from\r\navoidable harm; improve and maintain Service\r\nUsers health and wellbeing through increased\r\nindependence, choice, control, dignity, and quality\r\nof life; promote independence, and enable the\r\nService User to be an active member of society and\r\ntheir community; provide a strength based support\r\nService, responsive to the needs and\r\ncircumstances of the Service Users; help maximise\r\nindependence after illness or disability through\r\nworking within a rehabilitation, reablement and\r\nenablement philosophy; provide a high quality\r\nService in terms of access, the Service Users\u0027\r\nexperience and outcomes based on evidence of\r\neffectiveness; enable Service User satisfaction,\r\nenabling Service Users to have a say in how\r\nSupport and Services could be developed in the\r\nfuture, ensuring meaningful engagement that\r\nenables Service Users to have a say about the\r\nfuture development of Services. provide clear\r\ninformation so that Service Users can make\r\ninformed choices.\r\nThe contract will run from 01/4/2025 to 31/03/2028\r\nwith the option to extend by a year to 31/03/2029.",
