    "description": "***** THIS IS AN AWARD NOTICE, NOT A CALL FOR COMPETITION *****\r\n\r\nThis procurement is being concluded following a mini competition under the Crown Commercial Services RM6126 Research \u0026 Insights DPS\r\n\r\nBrief Description of Requirement\r\n\r\nDSIT\u0027s Advanced Materials team are seeking to commission a report on international benchmarking for the advanced materials technology family, to provide insights into emerging advanced materials domains where international research and innovation collaboration could unlock strategic opportunities and help to position the UK as a global hub for materials innovation. The project will inform DSIT development of the National Materials Innovation Programme announced in the Modern Industrial Strategy, where Advanced Materials was named as a priority frontier industry. The primary output of this work is a comprehensive research report that will benchmark the UK\u0027s advanced materials sector against leading international peers, such as Germany, Spain, Australia, Netherlands and Canada. Benchmarking should be conducted against the following identifiable criteria; best practices, policy levers, innovation strengths and gaps, thereby informing UK policy on how to increase the UKs global competitiveness in advanced materials.",
