    "description": "UoS/DH/24/25/QTR3/Mentimeter RenewalUniversity of Salford - \r\n\r\nStudent Response SystemBackground - Mentimeter Renewal \r\n\r\nOur current product in this area is up for renewal and Education Technology in DIT with colleagues in LTEC have conducted a review of Mentimeter and other Student Response Systems. \r\n\r\nAcademic Impact and Change\r\n\r\nWe have looked at the costs compared to similar comparable products and conducted a survey of current active users to find existing benefits/what could be better/what could the future look like of Mentimeter in daily academic use. A focus was placed on \r\nwhat could be done differently in current academic delivery, to get the same or better classroom interactivity they have enjoyed with Mentimeter.\r\n\r\nThe request for renewal takes into consideration the impact of not renewing. That by introducing more change by moving to a different product, we risk serious impact on academic delivery and in turn our student experience and subsequent NSS returns.\r\n\r\nMentimeter future direction\r\n\r\nMentimeter as a product has a clear development pathway over the next 12 months, \r\nevidenced by recent meetings with product team. There are coming enhancements around governance which we particularly welcome.\r\n\r\nProposal\r\n\r\nOn the evidence of the above work we are minded to seek a renewal for 2 years.\r\nPreviously we have purchased Mentimeter direct from the company but, we note there are official registered resellers (QBS, Phoenix Ltd, Trustmarque, Akhter, BSR Software) who are recognised by G-Cloud and CCS.
