    "description": "Weston-super-Mare Town Council (WSMTC) is seeking Expressions of Interest from suitably experienced and qualified companies to provide professional support to Town Council staff by providing Structural Engineering Services at various Town Council Buildings and Sites in Weston-super-Mare, the contract will be for an initial 3-year term with the ability to extend by a further two years by agreement. The company will need to have proven and demonstrable experience in a similar environment and the wide-ranging skill bases to achieve the various elements of the contract which include Structural Inspections and Reports, Engineering Support with Town Council Projects, Supporting the Town Council with management of their portfolio, defect diagnosis and structural assessments.\r\nCompanies from whom WSMTC procure goods and services must demonstrate that all practicable steps are being taken to allow equal access and equal treatment in employment and service delivery, as appropriate to the nature of the contract. Following a decision made by WSMTC in July 2020, the Council is committed to working with Companies who pay the Real Living Wage to their employees.\r\nCompanies from whom WSMTC procure goods and services must be able to demonstrate and excellent Health and Safety record, accordingly contractors that cannot demonstrate an excellent record, free from enforcement action, will not be considered. Companies must also be able to demonstrate how they provide social value with the work being carried out, within parameters set out by the Town Council.\r\nWSMTC will evaluate the Expression of Interest submissions received, and shortlist qualifying companies to invite tenders for the contract. Registration of interest does not imply inclusion on the tender list. Tender documents will be issued mid-late February 2025.\r\n\r\nThe evaluation will be in accordance with the following criteria, a fail under the Health and Safety criteria will automatically result in exclusion from the tender list. \r\nAn aggregate of 4 or more fails will automatically result in exclusion from the tender list.\r\n\r\n- Proven experience in working as part of a project team providing engineering support in connection with alterations and refurbishment schemes in Heritage Buildings and Public Buildings\t\r\n-Financial capability \r\n-Proven experience in providing building advice in connection with Heritage Buildings and Public Buildings\r\n-Evidence of an excellent Health \u0026 Safety Record (no enforcement action under current legislation)\r\n-Confirmation that employees are paid Real Living Wage.\r\n-Resources and availability to tender in February 2025 and commence in May 2025\r\n\r\ninformation on how to apply within attached EOI document\r\n\r\nAdditional information: EOI Document continued...\r\n\r\nInterested parties are asked to submit Expressions of Interest to include their:\r\n\u2022\tCompany name, address, contact name and registration number\r\n\u2022\tCompany bankers name and account number\r\n\u2022\tDetails of any enforcement action under Health \u0026 Safety Legislation\r\n\u2022\tBrief details of two recent (within last 36 months) similar projects undertaken by the company (Max 1000 words)\r\n\u2022\tConfirmation that the company pays real living wage.\r\n\u2022\tConfirmation that the company will be able to submit a tender and should they be successful, commence work May 2025\r\nExpression of Interest should be sent no later than 12 noon on Friday 14th February 2025 to:\r\n\r\nSarah Pearse\r\nCEO / Town Clerk\r\nWeston-super-Mare Town Council\t\r\n32 Waterloo Street\r\nWeston-super-Mare\r\nBS23 1LN\r\n\r\nEmail: development@wsm-tc.gov.uk",
