    "description": "Portsmouth City Council (\u0027the Council\u0027) is seeking to appoint operators to provide various food and drink catering units/stands for outdoor events in 2025. The Council is using the Council\u0027s e-sourcing portal, Intend, for transparency to advertise the opportunity and provide clarity around the award process \r\n      \r\n      The events on offer are as follows:\r\n      o Lot 1 - Armed Forces Day - 21st June 2025\r\n      o Lot 2 - Portsmouth Kite Festival - 26th and 27th July 2025\r\n      o Lot 3 - Great South Run - 18th and 19th October 2025\r\n      o Lot 4 - Live at the Bandstand - TBC (see below)\r\n      o Lot 5 - Annual Fireworks Event - TBC (see below)\r\n      \r\n      Operators can apply to trade at as many events as they wish and can submit a single or multiple offers per event, although operators must be able to commit to these events should they be successful. \r\n      \r\n      Details for Lot 4 and Lot 5 are still being finalised. However, Operators should confirm their interest in wanting to bid for either or both lots on the application form. Once further details for lots 4 and 5 become available, the Council intends to only invite operators who have initially expressed interest in bidding for these events to submit proposals. However, if the Council does not receive enough interest as part of this process, the Council will then consider alternative options when tendering these lots.\r\n      \r\n      Successful awarded operators will be required to sign a licence to occupy for delivery of the events, which will require payment to the council in advance of the events. \r\n      \r\n      The procurement timetable is as follows: \r\n      \r\n      Documents available on intend                    Monday 13th January 2025 \r\n      Virtual bidders briefing                                    Wednesday 22nd January 2025 at 11.30am\r\n      Deadline for requests for clarification            Monday 3rd February 2025 at 16:00\r\n      Tender return deadline                                    Friday 14th February 2025 at 12:00\r\n      Notification of decision                                    Friday 14th March 2025\r\n      Start of contract                                                    Various \r\n      \r\n      Bidders Briefing \r\n      \r\n      Bidders Briefing Session\r\n      \r\n      A bidder\u0027s briefing session will take place via Microsoft teams to review the scope of the framework, the project details, framework management and the tender return minimum requirements. The bidder\u0027s session will take place on Wednesday 22nd January 2024 at 11.30am. The Council will be issuing a copy of the briefing as part of the tender pack following the bidder\u0027s session.\r\n      \r\n      Tenderers wishing to take part in the bidder\u0027s session should send their name and e-mail address via the correspondence function on Intend, where they will subsequently be sent a Microsoft Teams invite.\r\n\r\nAdditional information: Portsmouth City Council is currently in the process of seeking expressions of interest for the following project - Events Catering Concessions 2025\r\n\r\nThe full details and ability to express an interest will be via our e-sourcing system Intend.
