    "description": "Contract award to Coast 2 Coast Building Control Limited to undertake building control functions and activities to approximately 150 -250 small projects each year for 4 years with the option to extend by another year as part of the council\u0026apos;s energy efficiency works programme for its residential housing stock.\r\n\r\nThe route to market was a mini-competition via the CHIC DPS - UK Optimised Retrofit Consultancy - Lot 2: Retrofit Assessment, Dynamic Purchasing System (FATS NO. 2022/S 000-007483)\r\n\r\nAdditional information: \r\nConsultant to undertake Building Control functions and activities to approximately 150 - 250 small projects each year for a duration of 4 years with the option to extend by another year as part of the Council\u0027s energy efficiency works programme for its residential housing stock.\r\n\r\nThe Consultant will be required to issue initial notices for the description of works and obtain any necessary third-party certificates for the work along with any necessary inspections required. They will advise the council on compliance issues and issue the completion certificates upon practical completion of works. They will primarily work closely with the council\u0027s works contractors in a co-ordinated manner to deliver a streamlined service to occupied residents including but not limited to the areas outlined below.\r\n\r\n-\tFloor insulation\r\n-\tExternal wall insulation\r\n-\tRoof or ceiling insulation\r\n-\tSolar hot water installations with tank\r\n-\tSecondary glazing and/or new double glazing\r\n-\tSolar PV installations with or without battery storage\r\n-\tInstallation of new electric heating and hot water systems\r\n-\tInternal wall insulation (IWI) fitted to inside face of external walls.",
