    "description": "The Main Contract works is for the construction of a new footbridge (BBM 9G Woburn Road footbridge bridge) to facilitate the decommissioning of the current Woburn Road Foot Crossing. The current Foot Crossing is situated on the Bletchley and Bedford Midland Line (BBM) @ 14m 10245Yds.\r\n      \r\n      The scope of the works is the construction of the new bridge and associated works as per the current draft AFCs.\r\n      \r\n      The works to be carried out include but not limited to the list below:\r\n      1.\tConsultation with stakeholders to agree the level of welfare provision, access arrangements, service diversions and other works necessary to enable commencement of the works.\r\n      2.\tProcurement and fabrication of columns, steps, intermediate landing areas and main span of the footbridge, as well as, waterproofing and footway surfacing of the of the new structure. \r\n      3.\tDesign and construction of any temporary works require to complete scope.\r\n      4.\tUndertaking of enabling works to create a worksite suitable for the works.\r\n      5.\tDiversion of the existing drainage ditch, into a new piped system for a total of up to 40lm, complete with Soluform Pre-filled concrete bag works headwalls on either end.\r\n      6.\tConstruction of the piled foundation \u0026 pile caps either side of the railway lines to support the installation of the new steel Circular Hollow Section (CHS) columns\r\n      7.\tConstruction of landing areas for access/egress onto and off steps\r\n      8.\tInstallation of CHS columns, steps, intermediate landing areas and main span of the footbridge.\r\n      9.\tInstallation of spider plate for future bonding provision.\r\n      10.\tClosure of existing foot crossing.\r\n      11.\tInstallation of new boundary fence.\r\n      12.\tInstallation of new footpaths on approach to structure.\r\n      \r\n      The indicative stating date for the Main Contract Works is January 2025",
