    "description": "The County of Herefordshire District Council (\"the Council\") is procuring a contract for up to 10 (ten) years for the provision of public realm works and services (\"Public Realm Services\").\r\nThe successful contractor is to deliver the Public Realm Services commencing from 1st June 2026 which will include, but not be limited to, the following \"core services\":\r\n(i) Network resilience \u0026 civil emergencies services;\r\n(ii) Winter service;\r\n(iii) Reactive maintenance (potholes \u0026 patching);\r\n(iv) Carriageway \u0026 footway maintenance programmes;\r\n(v) Drainage (gully cleansing \u0026 land drainage);\r\n(vi) Street lighting, illuminated signs and traffic signals;\r\n(vii) Structures (maintenance of bridges and culverts);\r\n(viii) Street cleaning (bin emptying, fly tipping \u0026 road sweeping);\r\n(ix) Fleet management and mechanical workshop;\r\n(x) Parks and open spaces (highways verges and trees);\r\n(xi) Bereavement Services (cemeteries \u0026 burials);\r\n(xii) Bus shelter maintenance;\r\n(xiii) Public art maintenance; and\r\n(xiv) Public right of way works.\r\nThe estimated annual value of this contract is \u00a315,000,000 (fifteen million pounds) - \u00a320,000,000 (twenty million pounds) exclusive of VAT.\r\nThe Council may at its discretion include schemes with an estimated value up to and including \u00a3250,000 in the Contract. In addition, the Council may include schemes with an estimated value exceeding \u00a3250,000 up to \u00a31,000,000 when the requirements set out in the Scope are satisfied.
