    "description": "Kennington Parish Council is proposing to replace its playground equipment with the installation of new equipment including appropriate surfacing for younger children.\r\nThe play area is intended to be used by children with ages ranging from toddler to mid-teens.\r\nExperienced play area installers are invited to tender for the contract.\r\nIt is anticipated that construction work will be carried out in Summer 2025 with the playground ready for use September 30th 2025 at the latest. An earlier construction programme can be agreed with the Parish Council if preferred by the contractor and subject to successful grant funding.\r\n\r\nPlease refer to the \u0027site information\u0027 section of this tender for the background information to the site.\r\nA map of the location is attached on page 14.\r\nThe children\u0027s play area is located in a fenced off section within the playing field area.\r\nAll prices are to be net, excluding VAT.\r\nCompanies must be registered with the API (Association of Play Industries) to tender for this contract. Please supply copies of current certificate for accreditations for the above membership plus details of any other relevant accreditations.\r\nA timescale for commencing this project will be agreed between Kennington Parish Council and the chosen Contractor.\r\n\r\nTenderers are required to submit a fixed price lump sum tender on the Form of Tender provided with this document.\r\nTenders should be returned in a sealed envelope bearing no company\r\nidentification and marked TENDER FOR FOREST SIDE PLAY AREA to:\r\nThe Parish Clerk,\r\nKennington Parish Council,\r\n20 Kennington Road,\r\nKennington,\r\nOxford,\r\nOX1 5NZ\r\nby 13:00 hours on 31st March 2025\r\nAlternatively, tenders can be submitted by email to clerk@kennington-pc.gov.uk with the subject line TENDER FOR FOREST SIDE PLAY AREA by the same date.",
