    "description": "The Tenderer should be aware that the works detailed in this package are constrained due to the nature of the location they are to be conducted in. \r\n\r\nProject location\r\nHM Naval Base Portsmouth \r\nThe Contractor shall be expected to adhere by the HMNB site security requirements, all Contractors and Sub-Contractors shall be BPSS security vetted and will be required to hold the relevant site security passes.\r\nThe Contractor shall be expected to hold the following levels of insurance \u00a310m Public Liability, \u00a310m Product Liability, \u00a35m Professional Indemnity.\r\nKBS Maritime - Introduction\r\nKBS Maritime is a joint venture between KBR and BAE Systems, bringing together two global players with a rich heritage of delivering excellence, innovation and reliability. The joint venture will combine the expertise of KBR as a global leader in infrastructure asset management and services with BAE Systems\u0026apos; experience and capability within Portsmouth Naval Base. KBS Maritime are delivering an ambitious, modern and enduring change to the Portsmouth Naval base infrastructure, securing investment in the local community and ensuring fit-for-purpose, world-leading fleet support for the Royal Navy and the UK in the decades ahead.\r\nProject Opportunity\r\n\r\nThis project focuses on the civil engineering works required to accommodate the pumping systems to replace 2x high capacity dock dewatering pumps at HMNB Portsmouth. \r\n \r\nThe major goals for this project are: \r\n \r\n-\tto remove all the old/existing assets relating to the pumping systems\r\n-\tto blank off the pipes until valves are installed  \r\n-\tto study the mechanical drawings for the new systems  \r\n-\tto produce a complete design for supporting the new mechanical equipment  \r\n-\tto proceed with the remedial works of the existing infrastructure  \r\n-\tto create / install the appropriate supports for the new pumping systems \r\n-\tto install the new pumping equipment and its auxiliaries  \r\n-\tto install the Power and Control Systems providing an appropriate finish to the end-product\r\n-\tTo control work site under CDM inc but not limited to management of H\u0026S File, Lifting arrangements, site setup, sub-contractor compliance.\r\n \r\n** For the full details see the Description Attachment**\r\n\r\nAdditional information: \r\nIf you are interested in this opportunity, please contact Paul Homshaw - at Supply Chain Waterfront- scwaterfront@kbsmaritime.com  to express interest quoting EOI- WAT0132-02 North Pumping Station Dock Pumps Civils and return a completed Supplier Questionnaire (SQ) and Non- Disclosure Agreement (NDA) attached to this notice.
