STAGE 1 ‐ RATIFICATION OF BRIEF AND DEVELOPMENT OF CONCEPT OPTIONS Inception / briefing meeting No1 ‐ Site visit over one day & mst mtg * Assemble and review existing data on history, ownerships, designations, existing uses, topography, utilities & identify if further survey work is required Understand Northampton context and the Towns Fund projects Confirm brief, scope, consultation strategy and outputs in a short Project Execution Plan. Start CDM Designer Risk Assessment. Secure client team approval. Prepare Sketch Book No 1 ‐ confirm existing use & Identify key constraints + opportunities ‐develop 3 high level concept options in plan and 3D using sketch up or revit. ‐ Illustrate with precedent imagery Assist QS with initial costings for the cost plan Develop Preferred Design Concept ‐ ratify scheme objectives & constraints ‐ develop preferred scheme option ‐ develop schematic visualisations ‐ develop exhibition boards for consultation STAGE 2 ‐ DEVELOP PREFERRED OPTION AND CONCEPT DESIGN Develop and illustrate public realm concept ‐hierarchies & zoning of space, character & function, circulation, accessibility, materiality, structures, & planting zones Outline GA& levels plan, including gradients, retaining features, steps & ramps etc Outline materials, furniture, water features, lighting and planting palettes and prepare Concept Specification Produce fully rendered site wide Landscape Masterplan Liaison with QS to assist with development of cost plan Produce short DRAFT Concept Design Report as an appendix for Towns Fund Application by WNC Produce short FINAL Concept Design Report as an appendix for Towns Fund Application by WNC
