    "description": "Unite Procurement UK Limited (part of Unite Holding SE), on behalf of the Ministry of Defence, is seeking suppliers to join the Mercateo Procurement Platform to support the provision of bulk construction materials for the Defence School of Transport (DST) in Leconfield, East Riding of Yorkshire.\r\n\r\nThe Mercateo Procurement Platform (www.mercateo.co.uk) offers a compliant route to market for UK Public Sector organisations to manage low-value, high-volume procurement.\r\n\r\nDST delivers military driver training and vehicle license acquisition across a dedicated 770-acre driver training estate. The ongoing maintenance of this estate requires a constant and reliable supply of basic construction aggregates.\r\n\r\nKey Requirements\r\n\r\nSuppliers must be able to provide the following materials, delivered as required to DST, Leconfield:\r\n\r\nMOT Type 1: up to 4,000 tonnes per year\r\nWhitewall Cobble: up to 1,000 tonnes per year\r\nPea Gravel: up to 1,000 tonnes per year\r\nTopsoil: up to 1,000 tonnes per year\r\nReady Mix Concrete: up to 500m\u00b3 per year\r\n\r\nSuppliers should demonstrate:\r\n\r\nProven capability to deliver the specified quantities reliably throughout the year.\r\nCompliance with all relevant UK standards for aggregates and construction materials.\r\nAbility to deliver to DST\u0027s site in Leconfield, East Riding of Yorkshire.\r\nWillingness to transact via the Mercateo Procurement Platform.\r\n\r\nHow to Apply\r\n\r\nInterested suppliers should register their interest by contacting Unite Procurement UK Limited and provide details of their product range, delivery capabilities, and relevant certifications. Further information on the onboarding process for the Mercateo Procurement Platform will be provided upon expression of interest.\r\n\r\nUnite Procurement UK Limited does not intend to appoint a sole supplier for this requirement. Instead, multiple suppliers may be onboarded to the Mercateo Procurement Platform to ensure a diverse and competitive supply base, supporting flexibility and choice for the Ministry of Defence and associated organisations.\r\n\r\nSuppliers are encouraged to express their interest by the stated closing date to ensure early consideration. However, applications to join the Mercateo Procurement Platform will be welcome at any time beyond the initial deadline.
