    "description": "The South Yorkshire Learning Disability and Autism Keyworker Service is expanding to an all age service and will include the integration of a dedicated team of Peer Support Workers (PSWs) within a local Voluntary, Community, and Social Enterprise (VCSE) model. This approach ensures that lived experience is at the heart of care delivery, offering tailored and meaningful support to autistic individuals and people with learning disabilities who have complex needs.\r\n\r\nService Expansion and Structure\r\n\r\nTo meet increasing demand, the Peer Support Worker team will grow from 1.4 Whole-Time Equivalent (WTE) to:\r\n\r\n\u2022 1.0 WTE Senior Peer Support Worker\r\n\u2022 5.0 WTE Peer Support Workers\r\n\r\nThe team will be fully embedded within the South Yorkshire LDA Keyworker Service, working closely with Senior Keyworkers and Keyworkers, who will allocate cases, provide supervision, and ensure structured intervention plans.\r\n\r\nThe Role of Peer Support Workers\r\nPeer Support Workers will work alongside keyworkers to provide additional capacity, ensuring that people and families receive the right support at the right time. The PSWs will:\r\n\r\n\u2022 Support individuals through structured programs of work, based on needs identified by the keyworker.\r\n\r\n\u2022 Provide emotional and practical support, helping individuals navigate services and build confidence.\r\n\r\n\u2022 Work one-to-one with people who have complex needs, offering lived experience perspectives.\r\n\r\n\u2022 Facilitate community engagement, supporting access to local services and activities.\r\n\r\n\u2022 Help individuals develop goals, recovery plans, and self-advocacy skills.\r\n\r\nMaintain records of engagement and contribute to service evaluation and improvement.\r\n\r\nThe contract will be for 3 years with option to extend for 1 further year making a total contract length of 4 years.\r\n\r\nThe available budget is \u00a3227,050 per annum, which must not be exceeded. This figure includes all aspects of the service to be delivered, any bidder including caveats to this service may be considered as submitting a non-compliant bid.
