    "description": "Wembury Parish Council is inviting tenders from experienced contractors for the \r\nprovision of grounds maintenance and gardening services across the parish. The \r\ncontract will involve the upkeep of public spaces, including the recreation ground, \r\nverges, and any other council-owned assets. \r\nScope of Work: \r\nThe successful contractor will be responsible for the following tasks: \r\n1. Hedge \u0026 Verge Maintenance \r\n\u2022 Regular pruning, trimming, strimming and maintenance of verges, \r\nhedges, and bushes owned by Wembury Parish Council. \r\n2. Weeding \u0026 Plant Care \r\n\u2022 Maintaining the Wembury Recreational Ground and wildflower verges, \r\nensuring they are in good condition. \r\n3. Tree Care \r\n\u2022 Monitoring the health of trees and plants, removing tree guards as \r\nnecessary, and reporting any issues with tree condition. \r\n4. General Grounds Maintenance \r\n\u2022 Clearing road and car park gutters, weeding pavements, and cutting \r\nback overgrowth as necessary in the recreation ground and around bus \r\nshelters and noticeboards. \r\n\u2022 Ensuring public spaces are tidy by removing leaves, mud, and debris, \r\nparticularly in car parking areas within Wembury Recreation Ground. \r\n\u2022 Removing any dead bushes or plants unless they are being left for \r\nwildlife purposes. \r\n5. Seasonal Work \r\n\u2022 Leaf clearance and general maintenance of grounds during the autumn \r\nand winter months. \r\n6. General Reporting \r\n\u2022 Regular inspections and reporting on any issue seen. \r\n7. Other Works \r\n\u2022 Any additional works that may be mutually agreed between the \r\ncontractor and Wembury Parish Council. \r\n\r\nEligibility Criteria: \r\nTo be considered, contractors must meet the following criteria: \r\n\u2022 Proven experience in gardening and grounds maintenance, including tree \r\ncare and management. \r\n\u2022 Ability to carry out all tasks listed in the scope of work to a high standard. \r\n\u2022 Insurance coverage, including public liability insurance. \r\n\u2022 References from previous clients (preferably local authorities or similar \r\norganizations). \r\n\u2022 Valid health and safety certifications. \r\n\u2022 Ability to provide a reliable and professional service throughout the year. \r\n\r\nFor more information or to request the full tender documentation, please contact us \r\nat rfo@wemburyparishcouncil.gov.uk. \r\nWembury Parish Council looks forward to receiving your tender and working with a \r\ncontractor who can maintain and enhance the quality of our local green spaces.",
