For several years the Department (DESNZ and previously BEIS) have held contracts with Qualtrics, a survey software platform provider. This software has been used by DESNZ researchers to deliver in-house research, which has been particularly useful when research has had to be delivered at pace (e.g. in response to the energy crisis) and to provide a lower cost option to conduct research without needing to procure external contractors. This software is also currently used across government for similar purposes.",
