    "description": "Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust (the Trust) requires ongoing access to Medicode clinical coding software to support its patient administrative system. This software plays a critical role in ensuring accurate clinical coding, which is essential for efficient hospital operations, including billing, resource allocation, and quality of care.\r\n\r\nA failure of the Medicode system could lead to inaccurate coding, which would significantly increase the risk of errors in these critical processes. This could cause delays in reimbursement, impact funding, and hinder the Trust\u0027s ability to effectively manage patient care. Inaccurate coding could also compromise data quality, affecting the Trust\u0027s ability to monitor performance, identify trends, and make informed decisions.\r\n\r\nTo prevent such scenarios and ensure the continued functionality of the Medicode system, the Trust has awarded a 12 month contract to Insight Direct (UK) Ltd, following a price-based competition conducted through the NOECPC Total Technology Solutions (NOE.0552) Framework.",
