    "description": "Scope of works\r\n\r\nStreet Parish Council is inviting tenders for the ground and horticultural maintenance requirements throughout the village, which includes:\r\n\r\n\u2022\tMerriman Park \r\nNote: Merriman Park is owned by Street Parish Council and managed by the Merriman Park Community Group (MPCG).\r\n\u2022\tStreet Skatepark\r\nNote: Street Skatepark is owned by Street Parish Council.\r\n\u2022\tStrode Road Allotments\r\nNote: Strode Road Allotments are owned by Street Parish Council and administered by Street and District Allotments Association.\r\n\u2022\tThe centre of the roundabout on the Westway near McDonalds\r\nNote: The roundabout is owned by Somerset Council and maintained by Street Parish Council.\r\n\u2022\tHanging baskets (High Street, Farm Road and Leigh Road), Flower Beds (High Street and Leigh Road), and Horse Trough (The Cross).\r\nNote: Owned by Street Parish Council\r\nAdditional works \r\n\u2022\tCleaning and maintenance of four bus shelters.\r\n\u2022\tMoving Speed Indicator Devices (SIDs) to locations around Street. \r\n\u2022\tOther works as required, on an ad hoc basis.\r\n\r\nAd hoc works\r\n\r\nThe successful contractor must be flexible when ad hoc work is required. Once the quote is approved, works can be carried out. \r\n\r\nFuture opportunities with Street Parish Council\r\nDue to Somerset Council\u0027s program of Asset and Service Devolution, additional services may be available from 1st May 2025 which could include:\r\n\u2022\tAdditional grass cutting of open spaces and verges.\r\n\u2022\tAdditional play area health and safety inspections and maintenance.\r\n\r\nWithin the invitation to tender we are asking contractors to indicate whether they may be willing to quote for these works in the future.",
