    "description": "Littleport Town Council is seeking to appoint an experienced contractor for the design and build of a new state-of-the-art concrete skate park in Littleport, Cambridgeshire.\r\nThe skate park is a significant community investment designed to serve a broad cross-section of the local population, including children, teenagers and adults. The site is centrally located in the town, adjacent to the Littleport Youth and Community Centre, a children\u0027s play area, a wellbeing park, and a dog-walking park.\r\nThe successful contractor will be required to undertake the full design and construction of the skate park facility, including all groundworks, drainage, surfacing, features and associated infrastructure. The design must take account of the varied age groups and skill levels who will use the facility, and must comply with all relevant safety standards and planning requirements.\r\nTenderers are expected to demonstrate relevant experience in the design and construction of comparable skate park facilities, and to provide evidence of appropriate qualifications, accreditations, and public liability insurance.\r\nThe contract scope includes, but is not limited to:\r\n\u2022\tFull design of the concrete skate park, including layout, features and user experience for all age groups\r\n\u2022\tSite preparation and groundworks\r\n\u2022\tConstruction of concrete skate park surface and all skating features\r\n\u2022\tDrainage and associated civil engineering works\r\n\u2022\tCompliance with all relevant safety standards (including those set by the Fields in Trust / RoSPA)\r\n\u2022\tLiaison with Littleport Town Council and relevant statutory bodies throughout the project\r\n\u2022\tHandover documentation including as-built drawings and maintenance guidance\r\nTenderers must demonstrate the following as a minimum:\r\n\u2022\tProven experience in the design and build of concrete skate parks of comparable scale and value\r\n\u2022\tPublic liability insurance of no less than \u00a35,000,000\r\n\u2022\tEmployers liability insurance of no less than \u00a310,000,000\r\n\u2022\tRelevant health and safety accreditations (e.g. CHAS, Constructionline or equivalent)\r\n\u2022\tCompliance with all applicable employment, equality and environmental legislation\r\n\u2022\tMembership of a relevant professional or trade body is desirable (e.g. the Freestyle Skateparks Association)\r\n\r\nAdditional information: Please contact clerk@littleporttowncouncil.gov.uk for the Form of Tender",
