    "description": "The Works include the design and construction of pumps and pipeline to deliver flood water from the wet well in Windermere Road car park in Grange to the pond in the Ornamental Gardens on Lindale Road.\r\nThe Council is the Local Lead Flood Authority responsible for surface water and ground water flooding in the County. As part of this remit, the Council has been developing flood alleviation measures for Grange-Over-Sands.\r\nPhase 2 works involve the construction of a new laying a 710mm OD PE rising main 170m long from the pumping station within the Windermere Road car park into the carriageway of Windermere Road, crossing Lindale Road and into the Ornamental Gardens to discharge into the pond; (note the civil work has been constructed by others as part of Phase 1). It will be necessary to complete the outstanding civil works to the pumping station and continue with pump installation and commissioning.",
