    "description": "The Borough Council of Bolton (\"the Authority\") is prepared to receive tenders for a Bulky Waste Collection Contract which will be subject to the information, specification and tender package enclosed.\r\n\r\nThe Authority require a company to provide a household bulky waste collection service for the following:\r\n\u2022\tRemoval of bulky items (eg sofa, bed and wardrobe) \r\n\u2022\tRemoval of small waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) as part of the bulky waste collection service. \r\n\u2022\tRemoval of white goods as part of the bulky waste collection service.\r\n\u2022\tRemoval of fridge/freezers as part of the bulky waste collection service.\r\n\u2022\tProvide an annual collection of residents\u0027 unwanted Christmas trees.\r\n\r\nOnce the waste is collected it will be the responsibility of the contractor to reuse and recycle as much of the waste as possible.\r\n\r\nDisposal of  any waste that cannot be recycled will be part of the GMCA waste disposal arrangements.\r\n\r\nIt is intended for the Contract to commence on 1 July 2025 for a period of two (2) years. There is the option to extend for a further two (2) x twelve (12) month periods.",
