Description

1. BACKGROUND 1.1 This Further Competition (FC) is being issued by Bishop Bewick Catholic Education Trust to procure a Trust-wide Management Information System for an initial 5-year period from 1st September 2024, with an option to extend for 1 year plus 1 year with a final end date of 31st August 2031, via the Ethical & Sustainable Supply DPS. 1.2 Bishop Bewick Catholic Education Trust is a successful multi-academy trust founded on its commitment to people and communities. Every child is known, equally valued and supported to achieve their potential in all our academies. Every community we serve benefits from the facilities and services we provide. 1.3 Our Vision - Together, we are greater than the sum of our parts. 1.4 Our Mission - A great education has the power to transform lives through: • Opportunity - to provide excellent education for our children and to be drivers for social justice in our schools. • Love - everyone feels parts of the wider Trust, not just their individual school • Collaboration - By harnessing the strengths we have collectively, we have so much more capacity to support and improve the education of all children within Bishop Bewick • Development - everyone is valued and cared for as if one family • Aspiration - we believe each individual is unique and has their own purpose in life 1.5 Where we are 1.6 Bishop Bewick Catholic Education Trust has grown quickly in the past few years. Many systems and processes which worked well in a small environment, now need to be updated to ensure we are able to operate as efficiently and accurately as possible. 1.7 The trust wishes to implement a single MIS system across the whole-trust and in doing so consolidate many third party solutions accumulated across the schools estate, removing independent reliance and creating a single, simple and easy to use platform which achieves our objectives and delivers value for money. 2. OBJECTIVE 2.1 This FC sets out the requirements of this procurement and provides information on how the tender process will be managed. It also explains the clarification process and confirms the process that will be used to evaluate Tender(s). 2.2 The core objectives for a fit for purpose MIS provision are outlined below: • To establish a 'single version of the truth' for all data across the entire Trust • Delivering enhanced functionality and access for all staff • Improving all staff workload by; seeking efficiencies, reducing duplicate entries across multiple platforms and increasing accessibility to data and information for all users in all roles • Providing operational reporting and analytics across all schools within the trust, built into the MIS platform with the ability to integrate with Power BI as required • Providing consolidated assessment information at a school and MAT level to support curriculum collaboration across schools
