    "description": "Mini Competition from Cadw Consultancy Framework - F088/2020/2021Cadw are to embark on a series of exciting projects in/around Castell Conwy, starting in 2025 with the procurement and appointment of a lead design consultant (the bidder). The lead design consultant will then, with assistance from Cadw, procure and appoint their own team of subconsultants to deliver multiple projects in and around the castle.A budget range of \u00c2\u00a33,000,000 - \u00c2\u00a34,000,000 excluding VAT is available for the purposes of this contract over the 4-year contract period \u00e2\u0080\u0093 this to include professional fees and works on site.The projects include:\u00e2\u0080\u00a2 Internal alterations and adaptations to the existing visitor centre\u00e2\u0080\u00a2 Potential extension to the existing visitor centre (to create a distinct \u00e2\u0080\u0098entry only\u00e2\u0080\u0099 point)\u00e2\u0080\u00a2 Delivery of a wide-ranging interpretation scheme \u00e2\u0080\u0093 an interpretation design consultant has been separately appointed by Cadw\u00e2\u0080\u00a2 Conservation works to the existing historic fabricIt is considered the lead consultant will require the services of the following sub-consultants:i. Quantity Surveyorii. Archaeologistiii. Ecologistiv. Mechanical and Electrical Engineerv. Structural Engineervi. Fire Safety Engineervii. 3D Laser surveyIt is expected that that lead consultant will undertake the role as Principal Designer (for the purposes of the CDM Regulations) and that all the sub-consultants will be able to demonstrate previous experience in working in/around/with historic buildings (preferably scheduled monuments within a world heritage site).The lead consultant and team will effectively manage the projects \u00e2\u0080\u0093 either singly or concurrently \u00e2\u0080\u0093 from RIBA Stage 0/1 right the way through to handover to Cadw.",
